Album Review: Pierce The Veil - Collide With The Sky
Pierce The Veil are back from a long writing phase since their No Guts No Glory tour, and have written and recorded their brand new full length Collide With The Sky, due out on July 17th via Fearless Records.
Collide With The Sky is the 3rd album from Pierce The Veil, their first release on new label Fearless Records after departing from Equal Vision Records last year, the band recorded the album in the House of Loud in New Jersey with producers Dan Korneff & Kato Khandwala.
Pierce The Veil have written another fantastic record, and has blended much more depth into this release, it’s an heavier release, but it’s still got that post-hardcore feel, the band has also shown more of their roots with some very interesting mexican guitar and percussion instruments throughout the album.
Several guests appear on the album, from Jason Butler of letlive, Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens & Lindsey Stamey of Oh No Fiasco, which bring more enjoyment to the release.
The songs are heavier in tone, but it still gives that post-hardcore feel from previous releases, it’s the same PTV but with an added touch and maturity, Collide With The Sky is something old blended with something new to PTV arsenal, it’s a great release as always and I see a bright future ahead of these guys.
