Album Review: The Early November - In Currents
It’s been 4 years since The Early November decided to go on hiatus back in 2007, now they’re back together with a new label and a brand new album, In Currents marks their first release on Rise Records due out on July 10th.
In Currents has 12 tracks of indie/alternative rock, they’re a reformed band with a slightly reformed sound, using Ace Enders studio at The Living Room to record the album, the first record in 6 years since The Mother, The Mechanic, and The Path.
TEN have written some of most amazing tracks in their career, it’s great to hear a more modern take with their music to move with the music generation, this will certainly give them more exposure with this album.
In Currents tracks are so energetic and catchy, it’s easy to sing-a-long to these songs, there were written that way, there are ballad’s like Tell Me Why, acoustic songs like Digital Age, it’s got a lot of diverse tracks for everyone that is a fan for TEN unique style of indie/alternative rock, the passion that Ace speaks is truly amazing, you can hear the growth in his voice.
The Early November have made an amazing reunion and In Currents gives us the hope for more fantastic material and a bright future for the NJ band.
