“Before I get ripped for leaving tour you should all know a few things. This is not my decision. This is not something I want. I’ve been part of The Early November from the start and I care about well being of that band more than a lot of people will ever know. The fact is I have a great job that I worked my ass off for during our hiatus and I’m getting married next year. I can not throw that all away in the blink of an eye. I expressed my concerns to the band before doing this. I told them that I can not tour full time and that I thought it was a bad idea to get a fill in. Unfortunately the only way for this band to stay active is for me to play selective shows. Do I like it? No. But it is what it is. I get first dibs on everything we do and we go from there. I’m not mad at my band. We are all different people with different needs. Just know that this was not something that happened on tour. I’m sorry to anyone who feels shafted but this is the only was our band can stay active.”
