I’ve been following Legacy since they posted their first demo ‘Demons’. Well with many lineup changes and their recent signing to InVogue Records Legacy has come out with their debut album With Peace In Mind, the album was recorded with Landon Tewers of The Plot In You.
From the previous demos posted through their formation and losing their frontman and main guitarist and then gaining new members, i was quite skeptical to hear if the the album will deliver.
Upon my knowledge I see in the track listing that they’ve re-done the demos previously posted in a small Depths EP from Legacy. When I first started listening to WPIM it all started feeling a bit repetitive at times, in my personal opinion the original vocalist really made some of these sons worth listening to, but with the current lineup it just didn’t hit me like I thought it would, the only songs I enjoyed were Demons, Vices & Blindfolds and that’s it.
This album is all a bit bland, the previous lineup really had the sound that bought me to listening to their old stuff more than their album, hopefully by their next release they bring up their game a bit and really work on their music, it’s good but not good enough to really pull me in, I did at times enjoy the clean singing in WPIM but it wouldn’t always catch me.
I do insist you listen to it yourself because this is just my opinion and it may affect others in a entirely different way.
