Lydia frontman Leighton Antelman has exclusively revealed to Altpress that he and drummer Craig Taylor will bring the band back from hiatus to record a new album this summer. Antelman says you can expect the full-length by late summer or early fall. Lydia went their separate ways last year after seven years and three full-lengths.
He says, “After what was a crazy year of writing, recording, performing, moving to California, and much thinking, I have a few things I’d like to share. I wrote a full+ album over the past year and am about to fly to Atlanta in a week and a half with Craig (Lydia’s drummer) to track and record it. I’ve had a lot of time to think over the past months and would like to announce a few things formally. Lydia is going to be putting out a brand new full length album during late summer/early fall of this 2011 year. If it were up to me Lydia would have never have had to break up. It was never my intension in any way, but there were a few things out of my control. There’s nothing I can do about that now, but would like to say that these problems are all done and gone. Our amazing fans’ continuous emails and support for more Lydia music makes me smile. As futile as you might have thought all your emails were, they were not a waste. I am beyond excited about this new full length album we are recording this month. Craig and myself have always worked very hard in the studio to bring you Lydia records, and we will do so once again in a few weeks. I can’t wait until you all can hear this.”
The Air I Breathe is one of the premier bands coming out of Rise right now, they have a miss may i kind of singer with a heavy vocalist that gets the job done. The breakdowns are heavy and for sure to be a pit starter and this summer you can catch them on Scream It Like You Mean It so be ready for that! The song is called “For What It’s Worth” and the album Great Faith In Fools comes out June 7th be prepared.
Has been released, unfortunately I can’t put it up right now since I’m at school but as soon as I get home I will put it up!
Here is the interview where they say that http://commonrevolt.com/post/5490632931
They are called Design The Skyline, and honestly no one wants them signed. So i don’t think this is news since i have a feeling Victory is going to drop them. They make shit music and it makes no sense. There are so many good bands out there that deserve to be signed and they arent one of them.
"Skyscrapers, earthmovers, ground breakers. Our buildings rival the heavens. Our bridges span the seas. Ingenuity is so cunning. Innovation is not ours. Creativity is a luxury. We build with our hands what we have in our hearts. Fight the avalanche. You’ll be buried every time. We run and run and run. Keep falling behind. Fight the avalanche. You’ll be buried every time. We run and run and run. Always last in line. Before lines were lines, before time was time, the Author wrote a story in he sky, and earth below. Little do we know we have only what we’re given. Light up the sky. We’re going where no man has ever gone. Little do we know we have only what we’re given. Light up the sky. We’re going where no man’s forgotten. All You are is all we want. It burns inside us all. We’re finding heart in giving soul. We’re walking home into thin air singing…. We are justice fighters with faces of fire. Many walk away, but we stand firm. We are justice fighters with faces of fire Our decisions affect our descendants. We are justice fighters with faces of fire. Skyscrapers, earthmovers, ground breakers. Our footsteps, bringing purpose, changing history. Skyscrapers, earthmovers, ground breakers. Our footsteps, bringing purpose, changing history"
